{linus}

My Jack has earned a nickname at our house, hence the title of this post. He is the only child of mine that loves his blanket so much that it goes just about everywhere with him. The sight of his blanket is even more exciting than food I think, and that's saying a lot!

I don't mind the carrying it around everywhere, but he also chews on one corner of it, almost continuously. When we hand the blanket to him, he can find that corner in about 2 seconds flat.

The fabric of the blanket in that particular corner is now permanently changed--from a light blue to the ugliest color of yellow/gray. It doesn't matter how much I wash it (and believe me, I've tried everything), that corner is gone for good.

You're probably thinking I should cut the corner off, and I would, except given the blanket's material, it would just all come apart. I know there's a way, but with my current sewing skills, it's going to take a little more time to figure out how to do it. (If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. :) )

In the meantime, the sight of him, dragging his blanket behind him, is just about the cutest thing I've seen, so for now, the blanket is here to stay.

I think it's so funny how they find something like that and it goes EVERYWHERE. Don't you just wonder why that one corner??? Wish I had some advice for repairing it, but sorry.

He's just so adorable.

There is nothing you can do and he is only 18 monthes...just wait until he is 3 and 5 and still has that blanket with him..we have a linus too and we tried to take "the blanket" away becasue it was simply nasty and it would not come clean for nothing. This plan however back fired He started taking our blanket off our bed and dragging the king size blanket around the house so the nasty blanket was given back..it wasn't until the cleaning lady in Las Vegas accidently took it last summer that the blankie was gone forever and when we returned home he started dragging around my blanket again so I made him a new one for Christmas so the king size blanket would not be drug around anymore...well this did not work either becausee the silky part was too silky!!! I guess what I am trying to say is the blankie child is the hardest to break from the blankie habit because there is always a blanket around somewhere and they love that one blanket and they will find a replacement no matter its size! Good Luck!

Very cute! I wonder if sewing one of those satiny borders around the edge will deter or just upset...? I miss the darling pics of your kids at the top.
