Every year the girls' elementary school does a Fun Run as a fundraiser. It's a big deal, and their major way of raising funds for the year. The kids all get tee shirts, and they run as many laps as they can in a certain amount of time. Each lap is 1/16 of a mile, and the girls each ended up running over 2 1/2 miles!
The whole week before the run had been delightfully cool (they called it a "cold front", which basically meant it was in the 80's instead of the 90's, lol), but unfortunately the day of the run it was back to being hot again. They were troopers though, and ran their little hearts out. I came with the boys and Caroline, and Rick was able to come watch too. We saw tons of friends, and chatted while watching the girlies run. It was a fun morning...we're proud of you girls!!
