I adore the fall, and going to the cider mill and pumpkin patch. I will use any excuse to go and usually visit one of my favorites once a week or more with the girls through the season. As a family we don't get to go as often, but we always plan one big trip to choose our carving pumpkins and some fun fall decorations for our porch. Today was that day!
Due to time constraints, we decided to go to one that I have only been to once before, but is fairly close to our home. We saw all the animals, went through the corn maze, ate doughnuts and drank hot chocolate, picked out pumpkins (Ryan's was 37 pounds!!!), and rode the barrel train ride at least 6 times! It was a perfectly crisp fall day, and the sights and smells were fabulous. I relished every minute of this perfect day!
.....
Kate and Emma's favorite ride!

Miss Kate, happy as can be--

Aren't cider doughnuts the best? Especially warm...yum!

Emma is obsessed with pigs, and so when she saw "Gertrude", a real live pig, she was pretty excited (that is until she started coming towards her!). Here she is, mimicking the pig's oink.

Choosing pumpkins...

Outtake #1 (of many)...trying to get a picture of all of them--

This is the best I got...and this is even including bribery!

Heading home, with all of our fun fall loot!

Happy fall!

What a Perfect day! The weather was beautiful too!!! I HAVE to get some of those donuts!!
How fun! They just don't have stuff like that around here. Or, if they do people aren't telling me about it. ROFL.
That looks like lots of fun. And that is one GIGANTIC pumpkin!!
I am so jealous!!!! I miss going to the pumkin patch. They do not have anything like that here. The place they have here is $11 a person and you can't even go into the field. It sucks! Do you remember when we went there with the boys and Tara?
WOW! Rick has a new hairdo! I like it!!
Ooh! I do miss the cool weather while visiting the pumpkin patch. Somehow 90 degrees doesn't seem to go with donuts, hot chocolate, and walking around the patch?
Super cute pictures of your family and looks like lots of fun! ;)
There is nothing better than a fall day at the pumpkin patch. The pictures are adorable as usual!
You'll have to let me know your favorite patches to go to! Your kiddos look adorable...so much fun! By the way Ryan, awesome pumpkin!!!
Loving the pictures. Too Cute!!! You are right it is hard to get all the family to the pumpkin patch so we do it on their day off of school in October. It is now our family tradition. Though I would like to have all the decorations NOW I am happy to wait to have everyone there.
kierste...i found you! thanks to melanie. your kids are adorable and so big! so fun to read about your family. hope you had a great b-day! i thought about you.
How fun! And I am loving that huge pumpkin. Have fun carving that one!:) And can I just say that you have got THE CUTEST KIDS!?!?!?! Darling!
I love the pictures. Could your kids be any cuter? So, So darling!
I am jealous of the pumpkin patch, none of that cool stuff here in AZ either.
