"b" is for... a day at the beach
We took a trip to our favorite beach with some of our favorite people last weekend, and had a wonderful time. Even though it was cooler than we had expected, we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the beach, splashing in the water, digging in the sand, and chatting up a storm!

"b" is for... a pretty girl in braids
I am so excited that the girls' hair is getting long enough to do some fun things with. I have cut it several times, with the intention of getting it all one length, and now the sides have caught up with the rest of their hair. They both love having "pitty" (pretty) and "coot" (cute) hair, and actually sit cheerfully on my bathroom counter every morning!

"b" is for...boys and their Legos
A very kind and thoughtful friend dropped by unexpectedly this week to drop off a gift for Ryan--a new box of Legos--just for fun! He was thrilled of course, since that boy cannot have enough of them. He and his dad have spent the last couple of nights building and building and building!

"b" is for...cereal before bed
This is a tradition that goes back several generations, and is still going strong. The women in our family love to have cereal before bed! I remember spending the night at my grandma's house, eating cereal in her big bed while watching TV. My mom continued the tradition, and passed it on to my sister and me. It looks like the girls are following in our footsteps! (This could be why we've gone through 3 boxes of cereal in 5 days, lol)

"b" is for... a name badge
Okay, so I have the craziest, most fun friends EVER! Rick went to basketball Saturday morning, and all the guys there are the husbands of my friends. They had heard of the great name dilemma, and decided to start a "Save Emma Movement". They even decided to give themselves new names, which they are continuing to use. Last night we all went to dinner, and I was in the middle of a conversation when I heard some whispering. I looked up, and noticed that every guy at the table was wearing these name badges!!! I DIED laughing--they were all thanks to the very crazy and fun Charles Carn, a.k.a. Eduardo. He had made them without even his wife knowing, and brought them that night. There was even an announcement made at the bowling alley afterwards about the "Save Emma" campaign, and it trickled into church today. This will definitely be a story that is told in our family many times over, and Emma absolutely knows she's loved.
